Sanctuary for Humans at Catskill Animal Sanctuary

My boyfriend and I took a weekend getaway to Catskill Animal Sanctuary (CAS) in Upstate New York, just two quick hours north of New York City. CAS has rescued over 4,000 animals since 2001 and is currently the home of more […]

Vegan in Brooklyn, NY

Throughout my experience living a vegan lifestyle, I have made adjustments to be more in line with the philosophy. The definition of veganism means to live without the exploitation of animals for any purpose. In this recent video, I traveled […]

U.S. Vegan Dining Recap

As you know the vegan lifestyle is quite personal and a unique way to live given our historical relationship with animals with regard to clothing and diet. This online platform to share our vegan-specific travel experiences is wonderful. I have […]

In the City That Never Sleeps (Part 3)

The last couple of days of my New York trip were packed with excitement. On a Tuesday Ellie, Ross and I began our vegan food crawl of New York City. We even filmed a video that you can check out HERE (or keep […]

In the City That Never Sleeps (Part 2)

In the City That Never Sleeps (Part 1)

As someone who has never visited New York, I have to say that I was ecstatic and a little anxious over this trip. My only prior “knowledge” of this place, especially the city, is based on movies, TV shows and things I’ve […]

Bad Seed in a Big Apple

I have never been so surrounded by such a variety of vegan eateries as I found myself in New York City. The trip got off to a shaky start with a four hour bus journey in which we were pulled […]

NYC – My Kind of Town

I’m going to launch straight into this New York post with a picture of the biggest, most delicious pizza ever. This glorious pizza was purchased and eaten in full at a cute little omni-pizza place called Two Boots. It was […]

New York Vegan Travel Videos

New York, specifically New York City, is an incredibly vegan-friendly place to visit. From vegan restaurants, to markets, to pop-up shops and other events, NYC has a lot to offer. The best transportation options are walking and taking the subway, since it stops all over the city. There is plenty to do aside from enjoying all the food including visiting landmarks and museums, seeing shows, and strolling through Central Park. There is a great vegan community in NYC, so it helps to reach out via meetups and online if you’re looking for recommendations. It also isn’t a bad idea to reach out to local vegans for lodging, especially if you are traveling on a budget.

The videos and blogs on this page were contributed by members of our vegan community who recently traveled to New York and graciously shared their travel experiences. Follow your fellow vegan travelers as they explore New York compassionately, meet local vegans and other vegan travelers, and share the amazing vegan food they find during their travels! They share the sites they visited, the places they stayed at, vegan shops they found, and the sites and activities they enjoyed during their time in New York. Some also visit animal sanctuaries in the countries they travel to and kindly share the stories of the animals they meet. Join our vegan community and share your travel adventures with our global vegan community and collectively we can show the world how easy it is to be vegan and travel compassionately.
