Today is a pretty meaningful day for us. No, not because it is Valentine’s Day, but because 5 years ago today, @codyk and I left Canada to see and learn about the world.
Although it wasn’t our first visit, Egypt was our very first stop in 2012.
Since then, we have visited over 40 countries, made new lifelong friends, opened up to deep compassion and justice by aligning our ethics with our actions, and are building a home in Thailand.
Choosing to travel, instead of signing on to a half a million dollar mortgage to buy house in Canada, has completely changed our lives.
If you do it right-with mindfulness, with intention, with respect; travel can change you, and make you a better person.
We want to thank everyone who has ever supported us, commented, messaged, liked, shared and cheered us on in these last 5 years. We want to thank everyone who has taken their precious time out to come visit with us in some part of the world. We want to thank everyone we have shared a meal, or conversation with during our travels. Here’s to a lifetime of travel!
Aw, I love this! 5 years, wow!
