Hi Everyone!
My name is Jen Sotolongo and I have been vegan for just over a year now. I had spent many years flirting with the idea and cooked 100% vegan at home, but thought going from vegetarian to vegan would be too difficult for my friends and eating out. @jaclynmiller You’ve never camped before in your life?!?!?
I KNOW, it’s almost embarrassing to admit at this point! Living in CO now, it seems so much more accessible, I’ll have to give it a whirl at some point.
I scoured the Internet before leaving and there was so little out there in terms of vegan camp meals, so I figured I would create a place for others to go! I definitely carry more food that most cycle tourists, but we also eat better, too!
Also, camping is wonderful. You should give it a try! 🙂
It’s such a good idea! I’m sure the extra cargo isn’t always ideal, but you know what the rewards are (a belly full of delicious food), so I imagine that makes it all worth it.
Camping is on my list! I’ll get to it someday 🙂
Sounds like such fun adventures, Jen! Welcome to the VeganTravel community. <3
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to be a part of this community!
Wow, Jen! I’m glad you found the community! Absolutely want to hear more about traveling by bike through South America, and the vegan eats along the way!
