I’ve just booked a week-long trip to Montreal and Quebec City, followed by three days in Washington DC, heading out there in six days’ time. Getting nervous now! I thought I’d covered everything, research-wise, but in typical me-fashion I only become aware of the existence of a vegan (“healthy”) food tour in Montreal which only runs from May. Gutted about that but it should still be fun as I’m gradually piecing together an itinerary. So if anyone is going to be in any of these places in late March-early April and can give me pointers about vegan food, attractions, or where other vegans are hiding, let me know!
My favourite places to eat in Mtl are Crudessence, Aux Vivres, and the Copper Branch (several locations)
Montreal is a really cool town. I used to go there near every summer when I was in my teens & early twenties. I’m sure you will enjoy it. And if you have some time, Québec City is about 2 1/2 hours NE of Montreal. Old Québec has much of the ambiance and aesthetics of some of Europe’s more traditional towns. Have a great time!
Definitely go to NuVegan in DC!
