Hello fellow vegans. I am new on this site and I have Giselle and Cody to thank. It is a thrill to have a place to communicate with others regarding similar views on compassion, kindness, consciousness and lots of scrumptious food, that is cruelty-free, no doubt. I made my decision to stop eating my dear friends over 25 years ago.
I was vegan for a short time and now fully vegan for life…..going on 5 years. It was a very easy decision for me while on a path of self-discovery and personal development. As I was recognizing myself in connection with all of life, it just made sense to not consume those who are also living their life. When I discovered that all these animals have feelings, emotions, family connections, anxiety, happiness, sadness, I made the connection and immediately stopped all consumption and use of sentient beings.
My passion extends to traveling. Traveling for me is an education like no other. I prefer adventurous travel over a well planned-out itinerary. I choose a destination of interest, I book a flight and I’m on my way. Many times without booking any accommodations or arranging any pickup. When I arrive, I make connections and travel along as I explore the many areas of the country with ease and confidence. The spontaneity of traveling this way, is freedom. I have dragged my daughter, Giselle along with me when she was younger and the experiences obviously made a huge impact on her. She has made it her career…..lol AND in addition, has incorporated an ethical conscious element to the way she travels……She then influenced her husband, Cody on the idea of travel – a good-old, simple Saskatchewan boy….LOL…..Now they are out to conquer the world with compassion and ethical choices……I am so happy and grateful to be a part of this experience with them both.
wow that’s incredible! I love your outlook on life. Excited to meet you soon! 🙂
Thank you, Marrisa!
Yes, it was how I started traveling and continue to do so for the most part. I was so nice to meet you and perhaps we shall meet again in the future…. be well and open to new experiences of life…..
