It was -10 here today in Toronto. What better thing to do than grab some hardy soup. 🙂 @urbanherbivore

-10 isn’t so bad … during the winter. But I can joke, we had a 150 cm of heavy wet snow here in Colorado a little over a week ago. I could have really used that soup then. 🙂
Wow 150 is crazy! We are having a bout of snow today! The crazy thing it’s supposed to be spring! And we are in April;( hopefully this snow will bring May flowers :p
We are finally having some spring weather now, so hopefully it will head your way soon.
Yes please send the spring weather over! We would graciously accept it. Haven’t been to Colorado yet, and Ive only heard good things. Denver, Colorado Springs, the mountains. Must add it to the list of places we need to visit 🙂
If you like nature, be sure to pick up a National Parks pass. We have some incredible national parks in CO and our surrounding states.
Margaret, that was up in the mountains and it was great for skiers. Down here in the foothills we had around 50 cm of snow, which still took me hours to shovel my driveway. Hopefully, that was our last snow of the season. But in Colorado, we’ve even had snow here as late as May.
It’s warmer here today and soup still sounds delicious!
@alan I have been to denver once and on a layover but I did see the beautiful mountains. Chris and I are big nature people so that would be awesome. thanks for the tip!
A lot of tourists who visit North America, sadly only visit cities. We have so much incredible nature in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S.
I live here, and I’ve only been to a handful of them. There are so many national parks I would still love to explore. What is your favorite in Canada?
@alan Chris and I visited British Columbia last year and it was breathtaking. Definitely recommend climbing “the chief” in squamish it is a 3hrs hike there and back but the top you see a blue lagoon. When your in BC check out Vancouver island they a place called cedar grove where you see large redwoods where the largest one 6 men need to be around the hug the circumference and in vancouver island tofino! Also Vancouver and vancouver island is a vegan paradise! There have the oldest vegan/restaurant there called the Naam, the food A+ and its a 24hr restuarant which has been open since the hippy days of the 60’s
Thanks for the suggestions Margaret. I spent a lot of time exploring Québec, and visited Ontario a few times, but I’ve always wanted to really spend quality time exploring BC. Everyone I’ve ever talked to about BC says it’s gorgeous. And Naam sounds like my kind of place 🙂
