I unfortunately won’t be attending, but it looks like a blast. I lived in Chicago for five years, and there are some stellar vegan eats there. Definitely stop by the Upton’s Breakroom stand at the festival and give them some love, those are my old co-workers and pals 🙂

@jaclynmiller have been following them on instagram for months and their food looks delicious! I am by far going to their stand! Are they expensive?

I’d say the prices are moderate, especially considering how mindful Upton’s is about sourcing clean, whole ingredients. I’d highly recommend checking out their location on Grant Ave if you have time while you’re in town, you’ll get a good variety of options, and they have soft serve!!

Great question @aprilbien! In my early 20’s I traveled for a year and a half through Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. I only had the little bit of money I had saved from part time jobs while I was at university so I traveled very cheaply. I shopped in local groceries, made my own meals and rarely ate out, took random jobs along the way…[Read more]

@codyk if you don’t mind me asking, what type of job do you have? I would love to do that to work for 4-5 months and then travel for the rest of the year.

@aprilbien I work as a pipe layer (construction) and Giselle works as a bartender. You could have any job and just save as much as you can before taking off 🙂

Just found this site when I saw @vegannomad post on Facebook about winning a trip to Oregon. I have never ever knew there was this much vegan support I could easily access. I am loving this but I am incredibly new to this..so I might mess up hahah.
