Is it difficult to find vegan food on a budget in Malaysia? I’m just planing my trip in next September. Thanks in advance.

@mindfulwanderlust & @codyk – your recent travels in Malaysia might be helpful for An!
Hi An, it is quite simple to find vegan food in Malaysia, well in KL and Penang anyway. We didn’t travel anywhere else so we can’t speak for the other areas.
There is a Buddhist temple in KL that serves a very large vegan buffet everyday for lunch, and you can find several other restaurants around town too. Penang, Georgetown is full of vegan food, and all in walking distance. Hope this helps 🙂
Thank you very much. I also plan to visit KL and Penang. Maybe Malacca also.
There are a few great vegan places in Malacca… I mostly used google… note that a lot of places there will only take cash 🙂
Thank Jenn
Here is our vegan food guide to Penang. We had no problem finding vegan food. It was all around us.
Also, if you fly into Kuala Lumpur airport, make sure to eat at BMS Organics! They serve an incredible soy milk laksa! I’m still dreaming about it!
It is located on the upper level. You should see it when you walk out into the public area of the airport.
Thank you very much. It’s helpful.
Happy to help ☺️
