• Hey Everyone! I though I’d share this for LA folks or visiting vegans. I like knowing about these events and I always seemed to miss them. Luckily I found it just in time!
Here is the website if you want to find out more! http://www.theveggieconnection.com
P.S. For some reason I can’t post the flyer as an image. Does anyone know how to get that…[Read more]

    • Hey @anasylvia, thanks for sharing this with everyone! If there are ever specific events you’d like folks on the site to know about, you can also get those added to our Event listings with this link: https://www.vegantravel.com/add/ 🙂

As for the image posting, I’ll send you a quick message to learn more about what the issue was and how I can help!

    Hi Everyone!
Question for my fellow vegan travelers:
I’m going to be in New Orleans in January, and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for both food to eat and things to do.
    Thanks!

I visited a couple of years ago and really enjoyed dining at Seed: https://www.vegantravel.com/seed/
I was there for a race so I didn’t dine out much during that trip, but I do remember there being such wide selection of tasty vegan prepared meals at the Whole Foods, that had me happily going back for more .

      • Thanks, Alan!
I’ve heard of Seed before and it looks delicious. Hopefully I can make it there.

        • I haven’t been to New Orleans myself, but have also heard about Seed, and have seen some mouth-watering pictures of their vegan beignets! I hope you’ll let us know if you make it there 🙂

          • Vegan beignets!? My mouth is watering. I will most definitely report back, and post some pics if I make it there 🙂

Hi everyone! My name is Anasylvia, and I am from Los Angeles. Traveling is everything! Since going vegan, I have traveled to the UK, France, and Italy, and it had its challenges, (primarily me being the only Vegan in my group) but overall it was not difficult.. Next year I already have a few tripes lined up. I am looking at New Orleans,…[Read more]

    • Hey there @anasylvia, first of all welcome to the Vegan Travel community. Super glad to have you.

My wife and I travelled all throughout Central America earlier this year and had no issues at all when it came to eating Vegan. There are Vegan Friendly places popping up everywhere and that was pretty great. There is a place in San Juan del Sur…[Read more]

      • Hi @codyk! Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the recommendation. I’m so excited to go back to Central America. This time as a Vegan and check out the wonderful cuisine. Hopefully I can make down to San Juan de Sur, and check out the beauty of the region and the food. Fingers crossed.
P.S. I’ve been loving your videos! Awesome work, and I…[Read more]

        • @anasylvia Just a tip when travelling Central America. They tend to put animal/pig fat into a lot of dishes so make sure to ask “sin grassa de cerdo/porko”

Like I said before we never had any issues and there were only a few times when they told us they have animal fat in the food. Another really fun thing we did in Nicaragua was take a…[Read more]

    • Welcome, Anasylvia! I lived in Chicago for five years, and would be happy to tell you about some of my favorite vegan spots in the windy city 🙂

      • Hi @jaclynmiller. That would be amazing. Thank you 🙂 Also, what is the weather like in June?

        • Awesome, I’ll send you a message with some ideas! It seems like new vegan spots have opened since I left the city, too (yay!). Chicago summers can get pretty hot and humid, I was surprised when I first got there (I came from FL, where hot and humid is the norm year round). It will still be nice in June, there will be lots of outdoor activities…[Read more]
