Well hey, it’s Shae! I am 22 years old and I just graduated from college as a Dental Hygienist, and timing couldn’t have been better! My best friend Marissa and I were chosen as one of the sponsored teams and we are now on our journey! This trip means more to me than you can imagine, and it is better than all the dreams I’ve had about this dream trip of mine- which has now come true.
I love travel (obviously), language, teeth (I’m weird, I know!), being outdoors, and filming/making videos!
I live in one of the most vegan-friendly towns in the states, and I absolutely adore my little town of Portland, Oregon. It is so perfect for being outdoorsy, and for eating back all of those calories in any vegan food you can imagine.

My mom went vegan shortly after I did, and my dad is a hunter who is extremely stubborn, but I’ve noticed small changes after opening the eyes of my loved ones and those close to me. When we were mid-contest, I never expected the love and support we received from everyone, but what surprised me the most was the amount of personal messages I received asking me a crazy question something similar to, “What is vegan, and how do I do it?”. It was then that I realized what we were doing- just living a happy, compassionate, fun, adventurous, normal life, it was not an impossible thing to do. People started to realize it was more normal living a vegan life than it was to live the way they were at that time. I set my new mission to living that said life, making my feasible life a little less destructive and with a little more compassion- but normal.

So here I am, being that goofy vegan that just happened to be sent around the world spreading a message I am so in love with, with a community of people who love that message just as much as I do- my Vegan Travellers <3
