Hi Cristina, I’ve been to most of the islands of Hawaii several times. All have lots of vegan-friendly restaurants to choose from, but the island I find the most vegan-friendly is Maui. I’ve been to several of the resorts on Maui as well. I would suggest looking into a resort on the beach at Kaanapali. The beach is gorgeous and there is a lovely walking trail that you could take to the restaurants and shops Whalers Village. A few of those offer decent vegan options. If you walk north on that trail, there is a vegetarian grocery store (Farmers Market Maui) with a hot buffet with several vegan options. They also make amazing smoothies. Also, some of the Kaanapali hotels offer a free bus shuttle to Lahaina, which also has a lovely ambiance, cute shops and several vegan and vegan friendly restaurants. And lastly, if you go to Maui you will probably be flying into Kahului. In that town are a couple of lovely Thai restaurants, and Kahului has one of the most vegan friendly Whole Foods. Near Kahului is the town of Paia – perhaps the most vegan friendly town in all of Hawaii. And it has another amazing grocery and lots of vegan-friendly restaurants.
