Some consider Berlin to be the vegan Mecca of Europe. And for good reason.

This is the city that made me vegan. 3 years later, I’m happy to see it flourish. Vegan restaurants pop up everywhere. And so, I want to share with you what I’d qualify as the perfect foodie day. Buckle up!

Breakfast at Brammibal’s

Start the day at Brammibal’s Donuts. No discussion. I’ve seen these guys grow from selling donuts at every vegan shop they could find, to having their own café. I was one of the crowd-funders of their nice, cozy corner in Kreuzberg. Their donuts are handmade, and some of the best I’ve ever had. Plus, they now have a breakfast menu that looks amazing.

Pizza for lunch

We’ll have lunch at La Stella Nera. This cooperative opened early this summer, run by a handful of Germans and Italians. It’s one of the restaurants I’ve visited the most. Their pizza is just the best out there. And when I say out there, I’m including Italy. Yes, I’ve been to Italy many times and the Neapolitan style of Stella Nera is definitely a winner. Just go there, and you’ll understand why.

Ice-cream for dessert

As an afternoon snack, Kontor Eismanufaktur fits the bill. What can I say about this place? It’s another one I saw grow. I was there in the opening week. Ever since, I don’t go more than two weeks without stopping by. Why? Well, they have proper vegan ice cream. Creamy, light, and delicious. They have creative flavors, including my favorite, Crazy Peanut. And if you are feeling cold, go for their Belgian waffles. They are the best looking waffles in town.

For Dinner, Viasko

By now, you might be rolling down the street with such incredible food. I feel you. That’s my problem every single weekend. Yet, you can’t end the day without visiting Viasko. Only open on evenings, but oh, it’s worth it. Honestly, everything on the menu is awesome. The menu changes from time to time, but you can always find German-inspired food, but tasty as hell.

P.S.: had I written this a few weeks ago, Fast Rabbit would be on the list. Unfortunately, they closed recently. But oh man… they had the best wraps in town.
